Community Water Center

Overview

With the advent of urbanisation and industrialization, our water resources are depleting. Whatever water sources remain are becoming victims of pollution. 75% of India’s rural families do not have access to piped, potable water and are forced to resort to unsafe sources. This makes them vulnerable to water borne diseases like malaria, typhoid, cholera, giardiasis, amoebic dysentery, amoebiasis, hepatitis A, and shigellosis. 90% of diarrhoea deaths in India happen because of consumption of contaminated water.

To this front, Arun is organising literacy and awareness programmes on health, hygiene and proper sanitization practices. We are also providing free healthy water to all government schools, hospitals, pregnant women and worship places.

Arun Solar, in its determined efforts to fulfil its responsibility towards the society has installed many modern community water centres to making hygienic healthy drinking water affordable to the people of rural districts. We also provide specially designed water containers that enable proper storage of water and to minimises contamination. In order to reach a water-disease-free life, it is important that we create awareness among people about consumption of hygienic water.

We have set up 830+ water purification plants(Community Water Centres) at various taluks in Karnataka like Kolar, Srinivaspura, Bangarpete, Mulbagil, Malur, Hoskote, Tiptur, Turvekere, Arsikere, Chalkere, Hosdurga, Hiriyur, Holalkere, Jagalur etc.

Arun  WATER PLANTS work on advanced technology, so they run smoothly with no noise and minimum power consumption. It has an inbuilt advanced quality monitoring technology to check TDS, pH values, and mineral values in real time. Our machines are equipped with coin or card swipe options.

Other features include 24-hour uninterrupted UV sterilisation ensures healthy water quality, GPRS based TCP/IP connectivity with web based server system, GPS location system, flash-based transaction data logging, fully automatic and manual system, and a controller for displaying water purity parameters on LCD/LED display monitor. We can also install a chilling system depending on the demand. To ensure potable water reaches remote villages with power shortages, we provide solar backups.
